Arriving in France!

Writer's picture: Michelle ManganielloMichelle Manganiello

The journey to France started on Tuesday, September 21st when my Mom and I left Atlanta from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport. Our flight departed at 4:35pm and arrived at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 7:05 am. We had to wait at the Paris airport for a few hours and then we flew to Bordeaux at 9:20 am. After landing at the Bordeaux airport at 10:35 am, we had to take a bus to the Bordeaux St. Jean Train station. From there, we took a train to Aiguillon, which is the little town I will be staying in for the next eight months.

My apartment is spacious, and I live right next to the school that I work at, which is Lycée Stendhal. There is a church nearby, as well as restaurants, shops and a grocery store all in walking distance. The outdoor market is on Tuesday and Friday mornings -- here you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables.
