This past week, I participated in another field trip with my students; we went to see a play together on Wednesday night. The play is called MU.e (pronounced like the Greek letter "Mu") and we saw it at a little Italian-style theatre, Théâtre Municipal Ducourneau, in Agen. This play was unlike any play I've ever seen before. It is set in the future in a society where there has been a massive disappearance of young people recently. Combining dream elements with reality, this play contains multi-entry storylines and speaks of the responsibility and fear behind a final youth appeal to the face of society.

My students, my roommate (Carely), and I at the Théâtre Municipal Ducourneau in Agen
This week was also important in the United States because of Thanksgiving! I definitely couldn't miss it, so of course I celebrated in France. On Friday night, my roommate and I had a "Friendsgiving" with two other American teaching assistants who live in Marmande, a town just 15 minutes north of Aiguillon. I provided the mashed potatoes, and the others made sweet potatoes, turkey filets, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Our stomachs were definitely full by the end of the night!
Good eats and drinks

Enjoying our meal! (Our American assistant friends pictured are Brenna and Anna.)
